Watchdogs are warning that a new anti-counterfeiting treaty could wreak havoc with the “Internet economy” unless changes are made. In a recent letter to U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk, a coalition of nine groups including the American Association of Law Libraries, Computer and Communications Industry Association, Electronic Frontier Foundation and Public Knowledge, say that the treaty provisions relating to the Web should be removed.
